NK Nail Hanging at Klimbos Garderen turns out to be a great success!

"We didn't expect so many participants," says Erik Kroon, owner of the climbing forest. "As many as 200 participants took part in the preliminaries in the various categories." After the preliminary rounds, which took place "just" on the ground, it was time for the finals at 5 p.m. This was at a height of 25 meters, on the highest course in Klimbos Garderen.
During the finals, the best jeans hangers of the day were escorted to the highest point and, of course, hoisted into a belt to hang safely. The height provided an extra dimension. It was now no longer just jeans hanging where the arm and hand muscles really can't at some point. But the thought of hanging at 25 meters also became an added handicap for most participants.
But not for Nova Brummelman (13) from Eefde and Owen de Boorder (13) from Zaandam. They gloriously became Dutch champions in the youth under 16 years. With 1 minute and 23 seconds and 1 minute and 27 seconds they stayed the longest. In the category from 16 years old Michelle Beelen (25) from Barneveld became Dutch champion with 1 minute and 14 seconds and Daan Schouten (16) from Uddel claimed the title with 1 minute and 40 seconds.
"A successful first edition," said Kroon, who in this way brings three major events to the climbing forest in Garderen. Dew climbing during Ascension in the spring, Halloween climbing in the fall and now the NK Nail Pants Hanging every summer. For more information about Klimbos Garderen, visit
