Are you a student, taking a gap year, or looking for an active part-time job with responsibility? At Klimbos Garderen, you can work as a Rescue Instructor in a way that fits your situation. Whether you’re looking for a part-time job alongside school or college, or prefer a seasonal contract with set hours, both options are available. We’ll start the training program as early as winter 2026, and you may even be able to work a few shifts as an instructor in September and October.
With 10 courses ranging from 1.5 to 25 meters in height, Klimbos Garderen is one of the largest and most challenging climbing forests in the Netherlands. We welcome private guests every day and also organize many outings for schools and companies through SOS Events. Safety and experience are always our top priorities.
As a Rescue Instructor, you will have a lot of contact with our guests. You will give instructions, supervise, and ensure that everyone can climb safely. When a participant is unable to continue due to stress or circumstances, you will spring into action. You will lower guests from the trees in a controlled manner and help them down safely.
We will train you to become a Ropes Course Rescuer and teach you how to act professionally and calmly in emergency situations. Guests will recognize you by your blue helmet and know that you are there to help. You will work closely with the team of instructors and ensure a safe and positive experience for every visitor.
As a part-time job: available at least one weekend day and able to work during school breaks.
As a seasonal position: fixed hours are possible, for example, 32 hours per week through November, with the possibility of an extension.
