Are you looking for an active outdoor internship where you can learn a lot, take on responsibility, and work with people? At Klimbos Garderen, you will do your internship at a unique location in the heart of the Veluwe. Together with an enthusiastic team, you will ensure that our guests have a safe and unforgettable day out.

  You are doing an internship in the largest climbing forest in the Netherlands.
  You work with guests, groups, and challenging courses.
  You learn the trade in practice, with good guidance.

About Klimbos Garderen

With 10 courses ranging from 1.5 to 25 meters in height, Klimbos Garderen is the largest and safest climbing forest in the Netherlands. In addition to private guests, we welcome many schools and companies every year. With a well-trained and friendly team, we ensure that our guests go home with a big smile on their faces every day.

What will you do?

During your internship, you will be fully involved in the climbing forest. You will help welcome guests, give instructions on how to use the climbing harness, and explain the safety rules for the various courses. You will answer questions and ensure that everyone feels safe and welcome.

We believe it is important that you quickly feel at home. That is why you will receive good guidance and we would like to invite you for a trial day in advance, so that you can experience for yourself whether this internship suits you.

What will I learn?

  • You will learn to give clear instructions to (large) groups.
  • You will learn everything about checking and keeping our courses safe.
  • You will learn how to be hospitable while remaining vigilant about safety.
  • You will receive internal training and work with a digital induction plan.
  • During team meetings, you will learn to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
  • You can obtain the Rescue Training (worth €800) free of charge in consultation.

We offer

  • Internship allowance:
    16 & 17 years old: €300 gross per month
    18 years and older: €450 gross per month + travel expenses.
  • Learn in practice and theory through our online modules.
  • The opportunity to obtain a European climbing certificate (Rescue Roper).
  • A friendly team with two staff parties per year and fun team outings.
  • A fun two-day introduction with other interns, including climbing, an E-chopper tour, and an Escape Tour.

We ask

  • That you are enthusiastic and want to learn everything about the climbing forest.
  • That you are athletic and don't like sitting still.
  • That you enjoy standing in front of groups and giving explanations.
  • That you work accurately and consider safety important.
  • That you are available at least one weekend day per week.
